I was born and raised in Kingstree, South Carolina. In 2001, I graduated from Anderson University with my Bachelor of Science in Human Services. An opportunity tutoring young students while in college inspired me to pursue education immediately after graduating from college. I was honored to spend 15 years in the classroom and 3 years as an assistant principal. My educational journey have allowed me to work in elementary, middle, and high school.
This year, I took a gap year from administration to go back into the classroom to work on writing my first educational book. This gap was important to ensure that I was experiencing the journey of a unicorn educator. I've learned so much stepping out of my comfort zone of the office and a school system I was with for over 10 years. The experience was one of both professional growth and personal growth.
Education is not just a career for me, it is my passion, it is what makes me, me. I love education and the ability to motivate and inspire others to strive for greatness. I strive to me an educator that makes an impact in lives of others.
Currently, I am interested in an educational opportunity that I can use my educational and professional experience to help educators and students reach their goals.
